LANDING AFTER HOURS: Enslaved People of Osage County

“Enslaved People of Osage County” is the culmination of research by Julie Allen on the realities of enslavement in Osage County, Missouri. Allen’s research began as she was exploring and writing about her own family’s connection with the county, a history that dates to the 1850s. Join her as she shares information from her recently publish book.

The Missouri State Museum’s “Landing After Hours” program is held the first Wednesday of each month at Jefferson Landing State Historic Site, 100 Jefferson St. Doors of the Lohman Building classroom will open at 6:30 p.m., and the presentation will begin at 7 p.m. Convenient parking is available in the lot next to the Lohman Building.
